FOUNDED IN 1985, DOLCE&GABBANA IS A MEGABRAND.
Dolce & Gabbana's journey began with a serendipitous phone call, leading to a mentorship between Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. After Gabbana's military service, they formed a design consultancy, culminating in the 1985 launch of their eponymous label at Milan Fashion Week. Their breakthrough arrived in the early '90s when Madonna commissioned them for her "The Girlie Show" world tour, catapulting them into the international spotlight. During this decade, they distinguished themselves with vibrant, feminine designs, a bold departure from the prevailing minimalist aesthetic.
