Paul & Shark
Paul&Shark originated from a textile manufacturing company named "Maglificio Daco," established in 1921. Under the management of Gian Ludovico, all production processes took place in Varese, Northern Italy. The company's products reached markets worldwide, largely thanks to collaborations with renowned fashion houses such as Christian Dior and Balenciaga.
In 1957, the company was officially renamed Paul&Shark. In the early 1970s, Paolo Dini, the eldest son of Gian Ludovico, visited a workshop in Maine, where he came across the sail of an old 18th-century clipper that caught his attention. The sail was marked with the words "Paul&Shark." From that moment, the brand ventured into the sportswear fashion industry, launching collections inspired by the world of sailing.
